Quick Fix for "Filezilla Error: Directory Listing Failed"

Are you getting the error "Filezilla Error: Directory Listing Failed" while trying to connect to a remote server? If yes, here's a quick fix for you.

My Filezilla installation worked fine until I installed Kaspersky Internet Security. I allowed outgoing TCP activity on port 21 for filezilla.exe but this error started to pop up ("Filezilla Error: Directory Listing Failed"). After a lot of searching on internet, I finally found the correct fix for this problem.

Here's a step by step easy to use guide that will correct this problem and get you on your way in just 2 minutes.

1. If you are using a firewall, make sure that Filezilla has access to outgoing TCP activity on port 21.
2. Go to Edit menu and select Settings.

3. In the settings window, select menu Connection.
4. In Connection menu, select sub-menu FTP.
5. Select Transfer Mode 'Active'

6. In FTP menu, select sub-menu 'Active Mode'
7. Select Ask your operating system for external IP address in Active Mode IP.

8. In FTP menu, select sub-menu 'Passive Mode'

9. Select Fall back to active mode in Passive Mode.

10. Click OK.

Your Filezilla Client is now ready to connect to the remote server. The directory listings will now succeed. If you face any difficulty, feel free to ask for help by leaving a comment. Happy FTP'ing :-)

NASA Hits Moon With A Missile To Find Water In Lunar Surface [Watch LIVE]

NASA Hits Moon With A Missile To Find Water In Lunar Surface. Watch this historic event here.

NASA Media Advisory 09-131AR reports the following:

"NASA's Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, created twin impacts on the moon's surface early Friday in a search for water ice. Scientists will analyze data from the spacecraft's instruments to assess whether water ice is present.

"The satellite traveled 5.6 million miles during an historic 113-day mission that ended in the Cabeus crater, a permanently shadowed region near the moon's south pole. The spacecraft was launched June 18 as a companion mission to the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

"In preparation for impact, LCROSS and its spent Centaur upper stage rocket separated about 54,000 miles above the surface of the moon on Thursday at approximately 6:50 p.m. PDT.

"Moving at a speed of more than 1.5 miles per second, the Centaur hit the lunar surface shortly after 4:31 a.m. Oct. 9, creating an impact that instruments aboard LCROSS observed for approximately four minutes. LCROSS then impacted the surface at approximately 4:36 a.m."
